PDMP-Mandatory Prescriber Review
Prescription Workflow in PDMP-Mandated States
When a user logs into the Patient RxPad, a pop-up will appear stating that a PDMP check is required for this state, provided the user is enabled for PDMP service within H2H DigitalRx.
How does the prescription workflow operate in a PDMP-mandated state?
While prescribing a controlled substance in a PDMP-mandated state, a message will appear indicating that reviewing the PDMP report is required before the prescription can be sent to the pharmacy. The prescription cannot be submitted until the user clicks on “View PDMP Report.”
Note: If the user is not enabled for the PDMP service, a pop-up will appear instructing them to review the PDMP report through an external source before proceeding with the prescription.
